EBJI Students Compete at CCSF Tournament

EBJI Members Takashi Matsumoto, Satoshi Matsumoto, Masashi Matsumoto, Jackson Kim, Dillon Izzo, Thomas Boser and John Bennett all competed at the City College of San Francisco Judo Tournament held in San Francisco, CA.

Satoshi Matsumoto, 10,  led the way for the EBJI Team by taking home a Gold Medal in his Orange Belt Division. En route to the gold, Satoshi threw an opponent with Osotogari for Ippon.

Jackson Kim, 11, Dillon Izzo, 13, and Takashi Matsumoto, 7, each took home a Silver Medal in their respective divisions. Jackson and Dillon both showed vast improvement, working on being aggressive and controlling their opponents. Takashi also showed improvement, competing in only his 4th tournament.

Masashi Matsumoto, Thomas Boser and John Bennett also won medals in their divisions, gaining valuable competition experience for the future.

All dojo members now turn their attention to the Dojo Promotional, which will be held next weekend, December 12 at the dojo.
