EBJI Shines at North Bay Developmental Tournament

6 competitors competed at the North Bay Developmental Tournament today, held at the Petaluma Community Center in Petaluma.
The dojo won 6 medals: 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
John Bennett led the EBJI crew by winning both him matches by ippon, taking home the gold medal in the senior white belt division.
Jared Beane entered his first tournament and went 2-1 to win silver. Brandon Izzo and Satoshi Matsumoto also won silver in their respective divisions. Brandon had a solid ippon in his first match but was thrown in his second. Satoshi had a break-through performace, winning 3 of his 4 matches by ippon.
Masashi Matsumoto and Dillon Izzo both won bronze medals in their divisions, earning valuable competition experience for the future.
The EBJI competitors will next turn their attention to our tournament, the EBJI Invitational Tournament, to be held on September 13 at El Cerrito High School.
